This is a great product for the money. I use mine for work alot more than for shooting, but I''m impressed with the quality and function. They also get banged around alot on the job site and continue to work perfectly. Great for skeet shooting and a joy when using power tools. I love mine!

The Caldwell headphones performed very well and kept out the noise from the other guns being fired. They are very comfortable and I appreciate that the volume is adjustable. Good product.

Great buy. I''ve got poor hearing anyway, and range days have always been grim, and I''d always get caught with my "ears" off when someone cut loose with a cannon nearby.
Range days are now a pleasure! I can hear speech essentially as well with these electronic "ears" on as with them off, and the noise blanking is phenomenal - no more loud surprises.
I couldn''t believe the low price, to start with, then couldn''t believe how effective they are, period, but especially for their low price.
For their great, low, price, these are truly deserving of this 5-star rating.

It is a decent product for the price after all they are only $25.00. I purchased them as an extra pair to have on hand for guests and they serve the purpose well. My disappoint was in the shipping and handling. Shipping took far too long and they were mailed in a very thin plastic/bubble envelope, I was very surprised the muffs weren''t broken.

These are great, the work very well. The only thing I would change is that the sound transmitted by the speakers inside is very quiet so it can still be difficult to hear quite sounds around you. voices come through just find and they function quite well in blocking the loud stuff.

I love my new Caldwell muffs. Now I can have conversations at the range with my buddies and actually HEAR them without having to deal with the occasional crack of a high powered rifle damaging my hearing. With my old earplugs I had a choice, take the plugs out to hear them and go deaf, or keep yelling "huh?" if I kept my plugs in. One of my buddies saw mine and immediately ordered a set of his own. Keeps your ears warm on those 30 degree January days too, heh. (Yes, we go to the range in January, lol)

Full volume reproduces sound at slightly lower volume than without them. Removes lower tones (bass) and sounds a bit electronic, because... it is.
But does what it advertises quite well and still allows one to hear normal speaking conversation.
Turn them down or off and they dampen sound as well as most standard hearing protection.
Battery life and product durability yet to be decided but seem very well made for the price. Like ''em enough to ordering a second.

Just 3 stars for an experienced shooter 5 stars for the student. Not a tactical set of muffs but good for the student-first timer who is intimidated enough to be on the range much less not being able to hear what you are saying. It seems to put them at ease to be able to hear you clearly.

For the price, these muffs certainly do the job. You can actually hear when there is no shooting going on. The only negative is that it doesn''t actually filter out the guns shots, but really disables the sound when loud noises are present. I like it though because I can still hear with them on and it prevents me from removing during the cease fire at the long rifle ranges which enhances hearing protection safety.

The Caldwell Electronic Hearing protection is amd example of getting what I paid for. I''m an IDPA safety officer and use a more expensive set while at a match. The Caldwells are okay for sound suppression, however they do not pick up convesations very well and the have a distinct hum.

I thought this device would fall into the "gimmick" catagory,,, not true, they actually work !!!! You can hear and talk to people, as soon as someone else fires their weapon they (the device) filters the noise. It is almost unbelievable !! I would encourage all personell that frequent the range to invest in a pair or,,, in a hearing aid for later LOL. Danny mccluskey

Used these Caldwell Electronic Hearing Protection muffs yesterday for the first time....Fantastic ! And the guy next to me at the range was using the same Caldwell Electronic Hearing Protection muffs...completely cancelled the shock and report from even the largest caliber firearm, but could still cary on a conversation and hear clearly the range officers commands.
